Every release, every fix, every improvement. We ship small and we ship often.

2026

  • Fixv0.6.1

Sidebar state stays put when switching post types

A round of fixes for the folder sidebar, mostly aimed at users juggling Media and Posts in the same session.

    What's fixed

    • Expanded folders and sidebar width are now remembered separately for each folder-enabled post type. Jumping between the Media library and Posts no longer overwrites the other's tree state.
    • Folder search in the sidebar is case-insensitive — typing "invoice" matches "Invoices" without retyping.
    • The sidebar now only persists UI state (expanded folders, sidebar width) instead of caching the entire folder tree, keeping browser storage lean.

  • Featurev0.6.0

    Google Drive-style folder browser

A breadcrumb trail and a child-folder grid now sit right above the Media Library (grid and list view) and your post-type lists. Click a folder card to drill in, or jump to any ancestor with one click on the breadcrumb — no more hunting through the sidebar tree.

    What's new

    • Drag attachments directly onto folder cards in the new grid to assign them
    • Display settings toggle the breadcrumb and folder grid independently from Settings → Folderly, so the interface stays focused
    • Renaming a folder from the sidebar context menu updates the breadcrumb and grid instantly, without a page reload

Pro users get the new browser automatically on the next plugin update.

  • Featurev1.2.0

    Search across every folder, instantly

A new search bar lives at the top of the folder tree. Start typing and Folderly walks the entire hierarchy — even libraries with 50,000+ files — under 50 ms.

    What's new

    • Fuzzy match on filename, alt text, and folder path
    • Keyboard nav: ⌘K to focus, arrow keys to step through results
    • Each result links straight to the parent folder so you can drag and drop from the result list

Built on top of D1's full-text indexing — runs at the edge, no extra server load.

  • Improvementv1.1.5

Bulk operations 3× faster on large libraries

We rewrote the bulk-move pipeline to batch updates in a single transaction. On libraries with 10,000+ files, organizing 500 items at once now completes in under two seconds instead of six.

No action needed — Pro users get the speedup automatically on the next plugin update.

  • Fixv1.1.4

Fixed folder counts not refreshing after bulk delete

Reported by a handful of users on libraries with deeply nested trees: deleting a batch of files would leave the parent folder counts stale until a hard refresh.

The folder index now re-tallies on every delete, including cascading parent counts. Thank you to everyone who sent repro steps.

  • Featurev1.1.0

    Bricks Builder integration

Folderly's folder picker now appears inside the Bricks Builder media modal. Pick a folder, drag in any image, and Bricks treats it like a native upload — no extra clicks, no copy-paste.

Joins the existing integrations for Gutenberg, Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, Brizy, and Oxygen. Breakdance support shipped in 1.0.8.
