Terms of Service
Last updated · April 27, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Folderly website at wpfolderly.com, the Folderly WordPress plugin (“the Plugin”), and Folderly Pro (collectively, the “Service”). By installing, downloading, purchasing, or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. License
Free version. The free version of the Plugin is licensed under the GNU General Public License v2.0 or later, consistent with WordPress.org plugin distribution.
Pro version. Folderly Pro is licensed to you for use on the number of WordPress sites stated at checkout. The license includes one year of updates and support beginning on the date of purchase, and lifetime use of the version you receive during that year. The license is non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable except as required by the GPL for the underlying plugin code.
You may install Folderly Pro on staging, development, and local environments associated with the licensed production sites without those instances counting against your site limit.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only on websites you own or are authorized to operate, and only in compliance with applicable laws. You will not (a) use the Service to host, distribute, or facilitate illegal content; (b) attempt to circumvent license checks; (c) resell, redistribute, or republish Folderly Pro as a standalone product; or (d) use the Service to violate the rights of others.
4. Pricing and payment
Folderly Pro is sold as a one-time payment for the license tier you choose. Prices are listed on the pricing page in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout. Payment is processed by our payment partners (Stripe, PayPal, and/or Freemius); your card details are handled by those providers and are not stored by us.
5. Refunds
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for Folderly Pro. If you are not satisfied within 7 days of purchase, email dev@wpfolderly.com from the address you used at checkout and we will issue a full refund. Refunds for renewal payments (where applicable) are evaluated case by case if requested within 7 days of the renewal charge.
6. Updates and support
Active Folderly Pro licenses receive plugin updates through the WordPress dashboard. Support is provided by email at dev@wpfolderly.com with a target response time of one business day, Monday through Friday. Support covers Folderly itself; we cannot debug unrelated WordPress, theme, or third-party plugin issues.
7. Intellectual property
The Folderly name, logo, website content, and Pro extension code are owned by us or our licensors. The free Plugin code is GPL-licensed; assets such as the logo, brand marks, and marketing copy are not. You retain all rights to your own content processed through the Plugin.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every WordPress configuration.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or business opportunity, even if advised of the possibility.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that creates risk for us or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (license restrictions, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, governing law) will survive.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated on this page and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Folderly business is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
